Vazio Semântico
Semantic Void

Semantic Void
An environment from which eudaimonic return, the sense of purpose and genuine contribution, is structurally absent, and which the organism detects and responds to at the genomic level.
The Semantic Void designates an environment in which the activity demanded of the organism produces no eudaimonic return, that is, generates no sense of meaning, purpose, or genuine contribution. It differs from a merely unpleasant environment: it can be comfortable and well compensated while still being semantically void.
Social genomics research demonstrated that eudaimonic well-being, not hedonic well-being of pleasure and comfort, is the primary psychosocial variable inversely associated with expression of the Conserved Transcriptional Response to Adversity. This means the organism's immune system does not respond to momentary subjective happiness, but to the presence or absence of meaning.
The Semantic Void is therefore a condition detectable at the genomic level, not merely the subjective: the organism evaluates whether its metabolic investment in an environment generates genuine value, and that evaluation carries measurable consequences for inflammation and antiviral capacity.
